Project Details

A fictional brand project, my focus was on creating life into Macaroni Maid. The project includes die-cut step sheets inside a pocket folder and a customized business card for this delightful sweet shop specializing in an array of delicious and mouth-watering flavored macarons.

Project Goals

As one of my earlier experiences in building a brand from the ground up, I want to include the process of creating a unique logo and exploring how this visual identity could extend to various brand assets. The big goal of this project was mastering the page layout management, as it will be printed.

REFLECTION

What I learned

Creating a brand with physical objects comes with extra thoughts. For instance, using CMYK colors instead of RGB, adding bleed marks and proper spacings around pages, and keeping the entire brand consistent in style and color. I also learned about the varied font sizes and spacings on business cards.

What could be improved

Since this was my first brand project early in my design career, the font choices weren't the best. The typeface on the step sheet pages is hard to read, and the sizes are larger than needed. The page layout is scattered and inconsistent throughout the packet. But overall, I enjoyed seeing how much I've grown ever since
